dezza-dance-give-donate-2017

Successful people never reach their goals alone. We help young dance artists see into their future.

Your donation of $50, $100, or $500 will go directly towards securing the future success of  young dance artists

Our Catalyst Mentorship Program provides a platform specifically for young dance artists 18-24 years to get the career mentorship they need to make -it in a highly competitive industry.

Please consider giving to our organization and the Catalyst Dance Mentorship Program to ensure young talent get the opportunity they deserve.

Where have we been?

Since 2013 over two dozen dancers have come through the program, easing the transition from student to professional. Graduates are now teachers, performers, festival directors, dance therapists, arts administrators and more. The skills they gained in leadership, confidence, self-awareness, marketing and artistic excellence created a strong foundation for success.

Where are we going?

The program has evolved to include a performance prioritized term in the Fall as an apprentice with Dezza Dance professionals and Community Dancers.  Kestrel Paton and Derya Whaley-Kaolora are primary cast members of No Place Like Home premiering Nov 3 & 4, 2017. In the Spring term Catalyst members are in the studio with Desirée Dunbar to develop a new work for the annual Dezza Dance Leg Up! performance dedicated to giving young artists a showcase to strut their stuff March 1 & 2, 2018.

Thank-you to all those who have donated in the past, making this endeavour possible. Thank-you to our partners West Point Grey Community Centre Association & Sunset Community Centre Association for their contribution towards rehearsal and production space.
